Nick Christoforou
With his love for music deeply embedded in him from an early age Nick Christoforou was always destined to be a DJ, he got his first set up back in 1999 and has never looked back.
Although specialising in Electronic Music, he has adapted to the industry’s ever changing markets and loves mixing all genres, with influences new and old including EZ, Mark Knight, David Guetta & Jaguar Skills.
Nick has adopted a unique upfront style of mixing cutting his way back and forth through genres keeping the dance floors jumping and keeping the crowd on their toes.
Going right back one of his earliest memories was watching his Dad playing his favourite songs as a local DJ it’s something that’s always stayed with him.
He got his first set of decks for his 13th Birthday and regularly played at parties for family and friends.
At the age of 15 he played his first nightclub set at Hollywoods Nightclub in Romford and has gone on to play at over 120 venues across the UK, Ibiza, Marbella & Turkey including a number of long term weekly & monthly residencies at multiple venues in London, Essex & Kent.
Nick has also played for some of the biggest names in the industry including Cream, Defected, Toolroom, Kinky Malinki, The Gallery, Hat Club, Electronic Sessions, Smartie Partie, Ministry Of Sound’s Clubbers Guide & 20:20 Tours.
Nick is also know to be found on some of the capital’s biggest boat parties on the Thames as well as featuring at festivals such as We Are FSTVL, HD Fest & Dance Crusade. In 2009 Nick created Tempted Events which he now runs alongside Tom Short which has held events all over London & the south of the UK.
Nick Joined the Select Radio team back in August 2013 hosting Monday afternoons. He then moved on to host ‘The Get Involved Breakfast Show’ on Thursday mornings for just over a year. Moving to Saturdays in 2015 Nick now hosts ‘Saturday Night Select’ every week, bringing you the very best in House, Bass & Electronic music with a vibrant mix of classic cuts and future hits.
Nick’s broadcasting journey started back in 2003 on newly formed internet station Axe FM. He then joined Force FM from 2009 – 2011 before spells at both Shine FM & Pulse FM from 2011 – 2013. In mid 2013 he joined both Select & Jacks House Radio, leaving Jacks House in 2015 Nick is still ever present on the Select schedule and one of their longest serving members
