Irish born, London based DJ John Power has been making waves in the Electronic Music scene for over three decades. Starting his music journey in 1995 as a presenter on pirate radio in Dublin, John honed his skills and developed a love for high energy club music with DJ sets in all of Dublin’s biggest nightclubs (Temple Theatre, POD, Redbox, Kitchen).
In 1998, he took over the Irish national airwaves as presenter and producer of the 2FM weekend dance shows. This quickly led to main stage appearances at festivals like Homelands, Creamfields, Godskitchen, Gatecrasher and the now legendary 2FM Sessions Tour. This saw him broadcast his show live from sold out nightclubs all over Ireland.
John now performs regularly for Sweatbox Dublin, the biggest underground gay night in Ireland and can often be seen as the warmup DJ for Claptone’s Masquerade Ball.
Catch John Power every Friday afternoon from 16:00 hours.
