Warriors…It’s time to assemble!
On Saturday 25th May 2024 Select presents Radio Warriors returns once again to the world famous Ministry of Sound for another night packed full of memories to last a lifetime. After the success of our first show of the year in January, we have levelled up yet again providing you with a stand out line-up filled with internationally renowned DJs and producers who will be bringing energy and beats to die for, showcasing their incredible talents on one of the worlds most prestigious stages.
Headlining in The Box, we have Scottish DJ and producer KC Lights. One of today’s most exciting artists, known for his irresistible sound that blends bright euphoric house with deep basslines. He’s a multi-instrumentalist whose creativity knows no bounds. KC has toured the world’s biggest stages including Creamfields, We Are FSTVL, ADE, The Warehouse Project, Ministry of Sound, Printworks, and is also a regular on the Ibiza circuit, performing in Amnesia, Hii, Pacha, and Eden. In addition to his smash singles like “Cold Light”, “Girl”, and “Daydreamer”, he’s remixed some of music’s biggest stars including Calvin Harris, Ed Sheeran, Alicia Keys, Marshmello and Paul Simon and his work has been championed by Carl Cox, MK, Calvin Harris, Camelphat, Skrillex, and Claptone, to name a few. We are honoured and incredibly excited to have KC Light join us for this show.
Alongside KC in the box, all the way from the USA, we have Chicago native now Denver-based DJ and producer Jamie Sitter, a.k.a. “J. Worra”. A global icon known for her creativity as a producer and skills behind the decks, she brings an inimitable swagger and technical prowess to the dance music scene.
Jamie has graced the stages from Brazil to Ibiza, Australia to Europe, and is a staple at the world’s biggest electronic music festivals and clubs including stand-out performances at Lollapalooza, Lollapalooza Brazil, Coachella, Bonnaroo, EDC Vegas, Life Is Beautiful, Skyline LA, and Splash House.
Hailed as DJ Mag’s 2019 Breakthrough Music Producer of the Year, and winning best remix (‘Zhu- Zhulandia’) at their illustrious annual awards in 2021, she’s released on tastemaker labels such as Higher Ground (‘Check Out’), Ultra (‘Cutting Loose’), Insomniac Records (‘Lightning To Strike’), D4 D4NCE, along with a plethora of official remixes for GRiZ (‘Medusa’), Gryffin and Gorgon City (‘Baggage with AlunaGeorge’), Kaskade (‘Tight’), Sofi Tukker (‘Larry Bird’) and Deadmau5.
Recently signed to Ultra Music with a slew of new singles and EPs on the way, as well as back-to-business Festival and Club shows worldwide. This will be her debut show at Ministry of Sound and we are delighted to showcase her incredible talents and energy on the London stage.
Marco Strous will return to the Radio Warriors family for this show, pumping his deep, powerful and expertly produced music through the famous speakers in The Box. Marco is an outstanding talent which he displays in his solo releases, as well as the extensive list of music he has produced for some of the biggest artists on the planet. Marco’s style is charged with groove, strength and attractiveness, which are also reflected in his DJ sets. This set will have the whole of South London shaking!
Next we have a Capital Dance breakfast queen, Charlie Powell. Bringing fresh, upfront house music with a punch to this hallowed dance floor. Working with the likes of Capital, KISS and brands such as Coca-Cola, Red Bull and The Brit Awards, she is no stranger to speaking to the masses. In the club, you can catch Charlie fronting energy fuelled house music with a dash of techno thrown in the right places! Charlie has made appearances at some of the biggest festivals in the UK and has also flown out to Ibiza and the french alps for shows in the last year. In addition to her highly successful radio & DJing career, Charlie is a strong LGBTQ+ advocate. Drawing from her own experiences, she is passionate about increasing the visibility of the LGBTQ+ community in the media. This passion is also reflected in her advocacy for mental health, as she brings awareness to important conversations and promotes openness.
And finally, completing this outstanding line-up in the main room, making her Box debut, we have Select family member and fast rising star Bear Winder. South Londoner, Bear is a mixed medley of deep and raw with a flair of bump and soul, inspired by the underground house & garage scene of the UK, enticed to the deeper and more soulful sounds of the Balearic Islands – very much influenced by her summers spent on the White Isle as a kid in the 90’s, and many a season later as an adult. Bear’s 10-year DJ career has seen her prominently carve out her unique sound – driving, deep, old skool flavours, with bumpy highs and beefy basslines – making her a regular fixture in London’s underground house and garage club scene, UK festivals, Ibiza and beyond. Last year saw Bear successfully debut her own brand and event ‘OSO:DEN’, championing the sounds and artists of the underground. And having spent the last couple of years cutting her teeth into production, she dropped her debut solo release on ‘Soul Revolution Records’ receiving heavy support from underground house legends within the scene. She followed this up with her DiVine Sounds debut release ‘Breathe’ which saw her play a perfectly curated set at the famous Defected Basement. Having kicked the year off supporting Yung Singh on his Aus/NZ tour, playing in some of Australia’s leading venues including Melbourne’s infamous Revolvers, supporting the likes of Mike Dunn, there is no stopping Bear and we are buzzing to welcome her to the Radio Warriors family.
In the 103 we have Radio Warriors residents Zofia & Chels Sash who blew the roof right off The Loft last time out.
Previously a presenter on Select and now hosting the Capital Dance Evening Show, Zofia, will be back once again delivering fresh, sharp and cutting-edge sounds. Chels Sash is also a past presenter on Select and has since gone on to grace the line-ups on some of London’s biggest brands such as LoveJuice and Boat Club, lighting up the London scene and providing irresistibly soulful vibes wherever she goes.
They will be joined by a delicious line-up of Select’s very own. Duo SUNANA, who will be bringing their latin flavours, boundless energy and showcasing their impressive catalogue of releases. Manchester born, London based DJ and producer WILES, who has just seen his record ‘Work That Body’ land on SKT’s Stashed records. Select Monday’s Joey Tempo, a regular on the London scene and rising talent who never fails to provide infectious energy and uplifting vibes and last but by all means not least Krisis, who has been a regular on Select for many years. Off the back of his release ‘In It For the Ride’ and with more on the way, Krisis is an expert selector and will no doubt deliver an unforgettable set.
We take you back to the classics in The Loft with Select Rewind. You will be seamlessly guided through the night by Select residents and outstanding talents SassyB, who has releases on the likes of Simma Black and Arielle Free’s Free Yourself. Jodie Weston, whose releases have reached Top 5 on 3 different Official Music Week Charts, achieving multiple editorial playlist placements along with appearing in the Beatport “Best New In Dance Chart” curated by Beatport themselves. Stormy J, a regular on the London and Essex circuit and resident DJ for Tottenham Hotspur Women. And Slim Dean, a long time Select resident, founder of Shaken Not Stirred events and co-owner of Dirty Disclosure & We Love Garage.
We bring you an all new Radio Warriors sub-brand in the Baby Box, ‘In Your Dreams’, showcasing the very best in progressive, melodic, stutter and afro-house. Providing the soundtrack to this newly renovated room we have Select residents Onncor who has performed at clubs and festivals all over the UK, including the world famous Glastonbury festival. Joe Turner, who has dropped some huge records this year including his EP ‘Stutter’. Select newcomer Tasha.MP4, a young and impressive DJ and producer and founder of ‘MP4 presents’ a platform, label and events brand for up and coming electronic music talent. And another long standing Select resident Zen Groove, an established and experienced DJ and selector who has honed his craft performing at venues all over the UK.
We are beyond excited to present this talent packed line-up to you on Saturday 25th May.
