Dyslexik Disko

Introducing Dyslexik Disko, the DJ and producer alias of South London’s own Tom Granton-Egan. Born in the mid-80s and raised on a diet of Trance and Drum & Bass, Tom drew early inspiration from legendary acts like Tiësto, Armin van Buuren, Above & Beyond, and High Contrast. These iconic sounds became the foundation of his lifelong passion for dance music.

Tom’s DJing journey began during his university years in Manchester, where the city’s pulsating music scene captured his heart. Spinning vinyl at student parties, he discovered the magnetic pull of the decks and the undeniable thrill of curating a crowd’s energy.

After university, Tom began experimenting with an eclectic mix of genres, from House to Breaks. However, it wasn’t until the world stood still during the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic that Dyslexik Disko was truly born. Fueled by isolation and creativity, Tom began sharing a series of dynamic, multi-genre mixes on SoundCloud and Mixcloud. From the "Lockdown Sessions" to "Vaccination Nation," these projects offered a much-needed escape and showcased his ability to get the party started - even from his front room.

In August 2021, Tom landed his first radio show with Basement FM, setting the stage for weekly slots on Broke FM and Data Transmission Radio. These shows allowed him to refine his style and in April 2023 Tom joined Select Radio with his showcase of Melodic and Progressive House, Trance and Techno.

Looking ahead, Tom is laser-focused on evolving his craft. After debuting 93 Feet East in Summer 2024, there are exciting plans to bring his high-energy sets to more live events going forward. Stay tuned—this is just the beginning of a thrilling sonic adventure.
