1997 was the year it started for me. I had always been a music lover, from the early 90βs rave sound, and then house and garage. Regardless of genre or tempo the music I loved had the same formula, big vocals and bigger basslines. So In 1997 I decided to get hands on, and invest in some turntables. As the years went on and technology gave us new toys to play with I came away from vinyl, as so many did , to pursue the art of digital DJβing. This took me to residencies at various bars in southeast London and was a great experience playing to a crowd.
From there I started a weekly radio show and my DJβing went full circle back to vinyl and thatβs the sound Iβm pushing now. Some might call it garage house, or UK garageβ¦doesnβt really matter what name you give it, itβs all about those big vocals and bigger basslines!
Come and join me in the Garage Lab and we can explore the underground garage sound of old and new.
