Sarah Helen
Since 2014, Sarah Helen has been a familiar voice across local community radio stations; she joined the Ridge Radio broadcast club in Caterham when still at school and would later return to the station to take over the flagship Saturday morning breakfast show. Her knowledge, passion and energy enabled her to complete a 24 hour broadcast for local charities, interviewing local artists and business people to keep her company.
After graduating from The Brit School, she returned to mentor younger students on Brit FM, guiding them through their first live broadcast. At Meridian FM in East Grinstead, she was the youngest solo host at the station and boasted some of the highest listenership figures across her Friday morning and subsequent Sunday evening shows.
Day to day she assists in the production of nationally broadcast comedy & entertainment programmes alongside her current Friday morning show on Select, ‘The Balearic Breakfast’. Since joining the team in 2022, she has delved deeper into her love for dance music and enjoys exploring different genres. You can regularly hear melodic, afro, funky & soulful house alongside disco and even drum & bass when ‘skanking on the school run’.
