Bringing energy and passion to dancefloors and the airwaves, Meera is a DJ with roots deeply embedded in dance music. A raver and collector since the early 2000s, she taught herself to mix at 18 on a secondhand pair of Technics 1210s. Cutting her teeth on vinyl, she spent hours digging through record shops and spinning at parties in London and Manchester, where she honed her craft.
Meera’s style is as versatile as it is infectious, shaped by the vibrant UK underground scene and her deep connection to Ibiza—a place she considers her spiritual home for all things dance music. Iconic clubs like Sankeys in Manchester, Bagleys in London, and Space in Ibiza were pivotal in shaping her sound, inspiring her to explore deep, bassy, and banging grooves.
While completing her degree in Manchester, she hosted community radio shows, then landed a broadcast journalism role at the BBC. She returned to London to produce shows for BBC London and 5Live before working with Mary Anne Hobbs on her influential BBC Radio 1 show, where she helped champion emerging electronic music artists.
Meera now runs her own brand, House Party, curating unforgettable club nights where the vibes are always on point. Her sets blend deep, bassy, uplifting, and banging tech house with UKG, and elements of latin house, Afrotech and nudisco. Her versatility behind the decks has landed her on lineups at top venues like The Cross, where her dynamic sets and infectious energy light up the dancefloor. She continues to make her mark on the London club scene.
Catch her every other Sunday at 2pm on Select Radio with The Reset, where she serves up the freshest tunes, uplifting Ibiza-inspired vibes, and occasional dives into the dance music archives—sharing her deep love of music and keeping the weekend spirit alive.
